December Reading Challenge

With the holidays quickly approaching I know how much of a struggle it can be to keep your little readers engaged and actively reading. To help motivate my struggling readers I've created a fun little Reading Challenge!

Shh...it's really no challenge at all. The students will complete one challenge a day for the month of December and use their completed challenges to decorate their Christmas tree. To learn more click the image above to go directly to the product listing.

In the spirit of the season I am holding a "flash" giveaway. You will have until midnight tonight (November 25) to enter the giveaway for your chance to win a copy of my newest product! To enter the giveaway head over the A Day In The Life Of A Title I Teacher's Facebook page and look for the "Giveaway" tab.

Good luck everyone!

    1. Biggest Challenge is keeping kids focused. They are so excited about Santa and Christmas that they are bouncing! :)

    2. I can only imagine! This time last year I was just starting my first year as a teacher (Oct. 29 was my first day). I had to analyze data, test scores, teacher recommendations, etc. before I even had my first class in November. By the time Christmas came around I was being pulled for so many things that I didn't have my students very much. This year will be the first year that I've had them all year and I'll be working with them before the Winter Break begins. I'm so nervous about how they will act.

  3. My biggest challenge is keeping their minds on learning and away from the big upcoming day. Also, motivating them to read over the break. :)

    1. I created the December Reading Challenge that I'll be using this year with my students to, hopefully, help motivate them to continue reading over the break! Let's cross our fingers and hope it works!

  4. My biggest challenge is trying to get all of the cute, fun, educational activities completed while working around all the mundane lessons I am required to use. parenthed1@aol.com

    1. I wish I was allowed to do the cute, fun, educational activities with my students. Since I only see them for approx. 20 minutes a day we just don't have the time to do these activities =( It makes my heart sad that we never get to do the "fun stuff" in my classroom! I try to incorporate fun activities but I never get to do the crafts and other fun activities that I would like to do.

  5. My biggest challenge is continuing to cover curriculum while so many fun activities take over our day! ;)
